My name is Kayla Hand and I am so excited God has blessed me with the opportunity to serve the students and teachers of WHCS as the Learning Center Reading Coach. My goal is to empower teachers and parents to help each student meet their fullest potential. I want to show each student that through Christ, they can achieve greatness.
I graduated from Southeastern University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Communications. I also graduated with a Reading endorsement and an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) endorsement. I spent two years in the public school system as a Kindergarten teacher. I jumped at the opportunity to come serve at WHCS when my husband and I were offered positions here. I have seen this school make a difference in this community and I wanted to be a part of it.
My husband, David, and I now live in Spring Hill with our daughter Jade. Before we moved, we lived in Lakeland for several years and also served as youth pastors at a church for 2 years. It is amazing to see how God has been orchestrating my life and now has led my family to WHCS. My prayer is that God will use me to make an impact in His kingdom here.
